1. Who we are
AdvertPlace is operated by AT SCAN LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom under company number 17529679. This notice explains how personal data is processed when you browse AdvertPlace, create an account, purchase digital products, sell products or contact support. For privacy enquiries, contact info@advertplace.net. The registered office address must be confirmed against Companies House before publication.
2. Personal data we handle
Depending on your use of the platform, this may include your name, username, email, phone number, profile details, language, IP address, device and security logs, purchases, downloads, invoices, wallet transactions, support messages and product reviews. Sellers may additionally provide business details, identification documents, verification evidence and payout-account information. Payment providers process payment-card details; do not send full card numbers or passwords to support.
3. Purposes and lawful bases
We use account and order data to provide the services you request and perform contracts (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)); invoices and required records to comply with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)); security logs, fraud prevention, dispute handling and service improvement where justified by our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); and optional marketing or non-essential tracking only where valid consent or another applicable lawful basis exists (Article 6(1)(a), where applicable). Legitimate interests include protecting users and the platform and preventing abuse, balanced against your rights. We assess any additional processing purpose before use.
4. Accounts, purchases and sellers
We process registration information, purchase codes, invoices and download access to operate accounts and fulfill transactions. Sellers may undergo manual identity and payout-account verification, using uploaded identification and bank-ownership evidence. Such documents are accessible only to authorized personnel or service providers as needed. Sellers and buyers may receive the minimum information required to complete orders, provide support or resolve disputes; unnecessary identification documents are not made public.
5. Payments and wallet activity
Payment processors and financial partners may receive the information necessary to authorize payments, investigate chargebacks, process refunds and comply with financial law. We maintain transaction references, amounts, statuses and related account records, rather than requiring full payment-card numbers in support requests. Wallet and payout information is used to administer balances, memberships and seller withdrawals. The exact payment recipients and providers must be confirmed in the live checkout and vendor register before publication.
6. Support, communications and reviews
We use messages, support tickets, attachments and relevant order details to respond to enquiries and resolve issues. Product reviews and public seller profile details may be visible to other users; do not include sensitive personal data in public content. Essential service messages may be sent as part of account administration. Promotional communications require a suitable lawful basis and comply with applicable electronic marketing rules; unsubscribe options are provided where required.
7. Cookies and analytics
Essential cookies and similar technologies may support login sessions, security, language preferences and shopping-cart operation. Non-essential analytics, advertising or tracking technologies must be used only where a valid legal basis and any required cookie consent exist. Where a choice is required, it should be as easy to reject as to accept non-essential cookies. Details of categories, providers, lifetimes and preference controls belong in the separate Cookie Policy. Do not assume a generic Accept button alone meets every consent requirement.
8. Sharing and service providers
We may share information with hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, email and support services, anti-fraud providers, professional advisers and authorities where justified and lawful. Independent sellers may receive the minimum order information needed for a transaction or dispute. We do not sell personal data to advertisers. We require suitable contractual and technical safeguards from processors. Actual service providers and their roles must be verified against the current supplier inventory.
9. International data transfers
Some providers or sellers may operate outside the United Kingdom. When personal data is transferred internationally, we assess the destination, applicable adequacy regulations and appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, where required. Details of destinations and the applicable safeguards, including how to request a copy, must be finalized from the actual service-provider register before publication.
10. Retention and deletion
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the identified purposes. Account data is generally retained while the account remains active and for a justified period afterward; financial and tax records are retained for applicable statutory periods; verification files, security logs and support tickets are retained according to documented risk and legal schedules. We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed, unless retention is legally required or needed for a live dispute. Exact periods and deletion rules must be documented and verified before publication.
11. Your rights and objections
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection to processing. You have a particular right to object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting prior lawful processing. To exercise your rights, email info@advertplace.net; we may verify identity before disclosing sensitive information. Legal exemptions may apply. We respond within the applicable statutory time limits.
12. Security and incidents
We use proportionate organizational and technical controls, including access restrictions, account authentication and monitoring, to protect personal data. No online system is completely risk-free. We investigate suspected personal-data incidents and report qualifying breaches to the ICO and affected individuals when required by law. Please report suspected account compromise through our contact or support channels promptly.
13. Children and automated decisions
AdvertPlace is a marketplace for digital products and is not designed specifically for children. Where age eligibility applies, it must be disclosed in account terms and enforced in the actual registration flow. Fraud or security tools may use automated flags, but we must assess whether any decision is made solely by automated means with legal or similarly significant effects. If such processing occurs, we will provide required information and safeguards. This must be verified against the production system before publication.
14. Complaints and regulator
Please contact info@advertplace.net first if you have a concern about the use of your personal data. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. Where other data-protection regulators have jurisdiction, additional complaint rights may apply. You do not need our permission to contact a regulator.
15. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when services, providers or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date should be displayed on this page. Where changes materially affect how personal data is used, we will provide additional notice where required. This notice must be reconciled with actual data flows and the Cookie Policy before going live.
